Day 61
Instead of going to the zoo market after class, we went to a park
instead. Why the change in plans? We didn’t get paid yet. But it was a
fantastic decision. The weather was absolutely fantastic for basking in the sun
and wandering in the park.

We went to
Longtanhu Park, located all the way on
the east end of Beijing.

park rules that we followed. |

Entrance to Longtonhu Park = 2 RMB; student price = 1 RMB
After talking about food during class and having a crappy lunch, I
was really craving for something good for dinner. We decided to hit up Sanlitun to check
out
Annie’s Italian Restaurant. Apparently, it’s the best
Italian restaurant in Beijing. I could see why-- there were so many options! After staring at the menu and narrowing down my choices, I opted with the daily special.

So goood! Definitely coming back here. |
Salmon ravioli with Caesar salad == 48 RMB
There was a Jenny Lou’s, a grocery store with foreign goods, next door so we went in and found that it was international food items galore. All you could hear were our squeals coming from different aisles after finding a few of our favourite things: sour cream and onions chips, spreadable cheese, candy, pasta sauce, mac and cheese. Definitely coming back when we food supply runs low.
You never realize how much you miss things until it’s gone.
Those are a lot of rules.
